Digital HEIghts Microlearning Training Course
The third project result of the Erasmus+ Digital HEIghts project, the open-source Microlearning Training Course, is now available online.
The Microlearning Training Course aims to strengthen academics’ competences in assessment through digital means with regard to the following categories identified in the DigCompEdu framework:
- Assessment strategies: to use digital technologies for formative and summative assessment and to enhance the diversity and suitability of assessment formats and approaches;
- Feedback and planning: to use digital technologies to provide feedback to learners; to adapt teaching strategies and to provide support, based on the evidence generated by the digital technologies used and to enable learners to understand the evidence provided by digital technologies and use it for decision-making.
According to the evidence provided by the digital technologies used, it can be expected that by the end of this course, academics are going to be able to use digital technologies to provide personalized and timely feedback to students, evolution educational tactics, and provide customized assistance. Furthermore, they must ensure learners understand and apply the assessments offered by digital technology.
Since academics have a busy schedule, microlearning is a distinctive approach to creating this training course. Microlearning is the successful completion of small learning units and tasks in a brief amount of time.
