European Institute for Innovation – Technology e.V. (EIfI-Tech)

The European Institute for Innovation – Technology (EIfI-Tech) is a registered non-profit organisation. EIfI-Tech works on a variety of EU programme such as EREF, Interreg, Horizon Europe and Erasmus+, and merges technical innovation with economic deployment. Thus, the EIfI-Tech is known for its work with innovation & entrepreneurs; it shortens the connection with industry & academia partners. Furthermore, the Institute is active in applied research, feasibility, testing, development, demonstration with the purpose of ultimately supporting economic deployment.

Through its broad networks EIfI-Tech is currently used to build up regional connections to early-stage business proposals, especially in smart specialisation. The EIfI-Tech operational team manages the delivery of project work programmes working in partnership with national/EU agencies, learning institutions, the private sector and people – the so called “Quadruple Helix”. EIfI-Tech works on numerous European funded projects, as well as with national projects, our experienced staff includes researchers, educationalists, industrialists and IT specialists.

FH JOANNEUM

University of Turin

The University of Torino (UniTo) is one of the most ancient, largest and prestigious Italian universities. Hosting 75,000 students, 3,838 academic, administrative and technical staff, 2600 post-graduate and PhD students and with 120 buildings it offers over 150 undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. It has a remarkable research tradition both in traditional subjects and modern sectors, such as food science, social politics, IT, performing arts and communication sciences. UniTo has extensive international experience, through the participation in transnational projects, the establishment of joint courses, through formal cooperation (around 600) with Universities and Institutions all around the world.

University of Aveiro

The University of Aveiro is a young Portuguese university, founded in 1973, with over 15,000 full-time students (graduate and postgraduate) including about 15% international students every year. The University has a strong research profile and a solid experience in cooperation and projects with local stakeholders. Cyprus University of Technology

The ‘Art + Design: eLearning Lab – Design for social change’ (www.elearningartdesign.org) is based at Cyprus University of Technology and pursues a variety of educational and research activities, as well as practical socially orientated interventions in support of design for social change and innovation, social entrepreneurship, design education and technology-enhanced learning. It comprises a group of academics/researchers with diverse and complimentary skills and interests that work as a collective. Design thinking, evidence-based design, ethnography, phenomenography, grounded theory and action research inform our strategies. The lab publishes the online journal ‘DISCERN, International Journal of Design for Social Change, Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship’, available at www.designforsocialchange.org.
